With the explosion in materials science and scanning electron microscopes, new materials are being researched and developed on a frequent basis. Over the last several years, there is a significant focus on leveraging these materials into consumer products, such as automobiles, bicycles, and sports equipment. We have a keen interest in carbon composites (CC)… as we find them useful in racing bike technology. These CC materials exhibit very high strength to weight ratios, resistance to fracture (i.e. major failure), and the ability to form various shaped parts from the material. We’ll report more on these as we utilize them in future product releases.
